Visa Information For US Citizens
United States Citizens do not need a visa for stays of less than 90 days in New Zealand as long as you can provide 1) a valid passport 2) a round trip airline ticket and 3) proof of sufficient funds to support oneself. For any stay longer than 90 days a Visitor Visa is required. New Zealand also offers a Work visa for people working temporarily in New Zealand, as well as a Working Holiday visa for US travellers age 18-30 allowing for travel around New Zealand for up to 12 months and taking up short-term work to support that travel.
